Kalmar[]

The God of the Hunt. Kalmar hailed from a simple, primitive realm where his only concern was survival, until he was brought to Galbar where he was told his new purpose was to build.

Kalmar was eventually mortally wounded by Abraxas, the avatar of Orvus. He made no attempt to save himself, instead deciding to pass on his godhood to Karamir. Although he died, Arya taught him the secrets of Moksha so that he could move on to an afterlife.

Appearance[]

Kalmar has the appearance of a six foot tall human, with short golden blond hair and an impressive moustache. He wears a green tunic and cloak, as well as fur footwraps and handwraps, and an animal hide vest. Lastly, he carries an oak longbow everywhere he goes.

Portfolios[]

Hunting[]

As the God of Hunting, Kalmar possesses a number of abilities. His senses are incredibly advanced, even by god standards. He can instinctively identify a beast's strengths and weaknesses, and excels at creating new animals.

Cold[]

As the God of Cold, Kalmar is naturally better at making things cold, making things that produce cold, or making things that find themselves at home in the cold.

Sphere[]

Kalmar's Sphere is the Hunting Grounds.

Personality[]

Kalmar holds to a "survival of the fittest" mindset, but he is not apathetic. He has a strong sense of integrity and honour, and is willing to share his knowledge with anyone who will listen. And while he is the God of the Hunt, he believes that all hunters must act responsibly, in order to ensure that there is still food to hunt for in the future. To that end, he forbids the killing of animals unless the killer gains something. He also believes that a creature has the responsibility to preserve its own species, not just itself, so to that end he also condemns the acts of cannibalism or making war on your own species.
